About the Author
Throughout my life, I have had many opportunities to work with both children, youth and adults. I have worked in daycares, preschools, schools, and have served in my local church where I taught children and youth and the women of my church. In all this, I have discovered a passion for helping people become the best they can become. I have learned the value of the saying, “they do not care how much you know until they know how much you care.” Even though I did not know I what I wanted to become until later in my life I learned through working with people that I was skilled at helping them not only one on one but in small groups as well. I also developed many other attributes along my path that will help me be a good mentor/counselor.
Life has never been easy I have been bullied, used and walked on most my life. As a young adult I discovered I had some disabilities that shed some light into why life was so hard at times. I have had mentors tell me I would never amount to anything. Through it all I have found an inner strength that has pushed me to keep going. I received my Bachelors of Science degree through BYU-Idaho in Marriage and Family Studies, as well as a certification in health and life coaching. I have a passion for helping those that struggle with whatever it may be. I know what it is like to struggle as a single mom, a person with disabilities, and disorders that no one understands. I am starting this blog in hopes that someone somewhere reads my articles and finds the inner strength to keep going in making a good life for themselves, whether it is finishing school, or just making it through each day. Leave a comment and let me know what you would like me to write about. and I will do my best.
